How to Choose a Forex Broker for Automated Trading
Deriv Bot Hub Team · 7/17/2026
1. Execution and slippage
Bots trade more often than humans. Small execution differences compound fast — favour ECN/raw accounts from brokers like IC Markets or Pepperstone.
2. Total cost per trade
Spread plus commission is your real cost. A "zero commission" account with wide spreads usually loses to a raw account for high-frequency strategies.
3. VPS and uptime
If your bot must run 24/7, a VPS near the broker's servers cuts latency. Some brokers (e.g. RoboForex) offer free VPS to active traders.
4. API and platform support
MT4/MT5 EAs are the standard, but check for cTrader and REST API access if you build custom tooling.
